1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting of the Children, Young People and Education Committee.

1.2 Apologies were received from Joel James MS and Vaughan Gething MS, there were no substitutes.

2       Routes into post-16 education and training - evidence session 1

2.1 The Committee heard evidence from School Teaching Unions.

2.2 Mary van den Heuvel from NEU declared that she’s a Member of the Equality and Human Rights Commission Wales Committee and was co-opted for a couple of years to Careers Wales.

2.3 NASUWT agreed to provide any available information on whether an equivalent to the Baker clause in England would help address the issue of access to schools in Wales.

2.3 It was agreed that the questions unasked would be sent for a written response.
